Florida does not routinely provide counsel for children in dependency proceedings and volunteer counsel have little access to funding for research, analysis, and seeking expert witnesses. Attorneys for the parents, the State and the Guardian Ad Litem also have severe budget limitations that may hinder case preparation

With your help, FDLC can help ensure that the legal system, that is supposed to protect abused and neglected children, does not cause them further harm.
